What We Believe

At iHope Community Church, our beliefs are firmly rooted in Scripture. These principles shape every aspect of our faith, community, and mission, guiding us in how we live, worship, and serve. Learn more about our core doctrines and the foundation of our hope.

We believe that the Bible is God's revelation to humanity, divinely inspired and without error. Written by God through His apostles and prophets, the Bible is a perfect guide for our lives and reveals to us our Savior. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21; Luke 24:27)

We believe in God the Father, eternally existing as one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of the heavens and the earth. (Genesis 1:1; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son and King over all. Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, suffered on the cross for our sins, rose on the third day, and sits at the right hand of the Father. He will return to judge the living and the dead. (John 3:16; Hebrews 4:15; Romans 6:9; 1 Peter 4:5)

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Godhead. The Spirit convicts of sin, regenerates believers, and empowers them to live for Christ. (Titus 3:5; John 16:8; John 3:5)

We believe the church is the body of all believers around the world, united in faith in Jesus as Savior and Lord. (1 Corinthians 3:11-15)

We believe salvation is a free gift offered by God, received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Good works are a response to salvation, not a means to earn it. (John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8-10; Romans 10:9)

We believe those who trust in Jesus will experience eternal life with God, and those who reject Him will face eternal separation. (John 3:36; Romans 10:9)

We believe marriage, as created by God, is a covenant between one man and one woman, designed to reflect Christ’s love for the church. (Ephesians 5:21-32; Genesis 1:27; Genesis 2:18)

iHope is in partnership with the Southern Baptist Convention for the purpose of sharing resources to spread God's love.
