Our History

The story of iHope is a beautiful testament story of the faithfulness of God. It all began as a dream in the heart of Pastor Matt during his seminary days—a dream to plant a church in his hometown of Buffalo. After much prayer, study, and seeking advice, North Tonawanda emerged as the community that stirred his heart.

However, the journey was not without challenges. Pastor Matt faced the task of finding a meeting place and assembling a team to bring this dream to life. But God was faithful. After an extensive search, He led iHope to its home at 316 Thompson Street. 

Since that first service on September 15, 2013, iHope has experienced tremendous growth and transformation. Together, the congregation has laughed, cried, and celebrated countless milestones, all while learning to trust in the goodness and faithfulness of God. 

As we look to the future, we are filled with excitement and anticipation for what lies ahead. We believe that God has incredible plans for iHope, and we are eager to continue this journey of faith together, sharing hope and love with our community and beyond. Thank you for being a part of our story!
